With all due respect. I didn't think that would work since Metastock does
not store its data in individual stock files (i.e. ones that can be seen
from the dos directory). I may be wrong. My apologies if that is the case.
But you did spark an idea. George can work around this by using the
downloaded to convert his MS stock files into text file which WILL be seen
from the Windows /DOS directory, and then he can apply your method to the
*.txt files.
I would make one suggestion though during the conversion. If possible, only
convert 1 data point per stock to keep the process fast and the files small.

Go to a DOS window and use the command DIR >DIR.TXT to send the directory
list
to a text file. If you want to reorder the directory list sent to the TXT
file, use the DIR /? to see your options. The directory contents will be in
DIR.TXT.
