Bob,
I convert in the opposite direction, MStk to AIQ, but either way it is a
real pain in the database. I get daily downloads from Reuters into
MStk, and just update AIQ at weekends. Will have to look into using a
macro utility.
To convert from AIQ to MStk, ASCII is the common language, so you have
to do it in two steps with an ASCII file in the middle. AIQ >> ASCII >>
MStk. Use the DTU to export AIQ data into an ASCII file, then use the
Downloader to convert the ASCII file to MStk.
Can't understand why the data vendors limit their market by making their
data accessible to only a few programs. Also there is a market waiting
for any programmer who offers any kind of universal translator (Rosetta
Stone?).
