I'm looking for a formula for the linear regression
line that is docked on the toolbar. Not linear regression slope or
indicator, just the line that MetaStock draws when you click and drag the linear
regression line. Recently, I've been creating a template that drops a
short, intermediate, and long term linear regression on my charts.
Unforturnately, the template uses the designated starting and ending day from
the day you save. This creates useless information the following
day. I need the formula that will draw the linear regression from the last
price and automatically go back "x" number of periods. Tomorrow, when I
download my new eod data, I would like to apply the template and have that line
go back the same number of days it did the previous day (effectively advancing
the line one period).
