The way I have accomplished data transfer of large amounts has been with a
slave hard drive that is a 2nd or 3rd drive which has sufficient capacity to
store the data which you wish to transfer from one computer to another.
After you have written the data you wish to transfer on the slave drive then
you remove the drive from the first computer and install it on the second
computer. Then you may copy any or all of that data or move it at your
desire.
There are containers made which allow hard drives to be removed from and
inserted again without removing the computer case (computer powered off). If
you do not wish to buy one then you need to remove your computer case to
remove a hard drive. Note you need to run setup after any drive changes.
This puts the information in your computer about the different hard drives
installed.
I would expect that there are other ways and this group would likely provide
additional information on this question. Perhaps one of these approaches
given may meet your expectations.

Subject: Off topic: email browsers
I am in process of transferring files from one computer to another. In order
to transfer my email stuff from Outlook Express, I have to first export it
to Microsoft Outlook, then to a floppy or zip disk. Next I reverse the
process on the new computer. The operation is neither easy nor
straightforward or user friendly.
Can anyone suggest a user friendly email utility that operates in a normal
windows manner (more or less)? I have used Eudora in the past, but none of
the stores I contacted in Houston seem to stock it anymore.
Thanks
