That's frightening. My MS calculations are already slower than anything.
My basic S&P calculations for 900 days takes about a minute on a P-II 400
MHz computer with 196MB RAM. I don't think I could take it much slower. Of
course, that's a big improvement over prior MS releases as it used to take
over 30 minutes. Excel takes a fraction of that (<10 seconds).

Just upgraded from Win98 to Win2000. Explorations much slower now. I guess
by a multiple of 3-4, i.e. going at 1/3 to 1/4 speed.
I don't think it has anything to do with the file system as tried both with
FAT32 and NTFS.
Anybody got a clue?
