Hi Christian,
Obviously you probably havent been spoilt with easier to configure, set up
and manipulate applications. Guess I have. I don't dispute that EZ-PnF
brilliantly displays charts, and allows you to view the data in a variety of
ways. That aspect of the application is fantastic, don't get me wrong. It
IS a good program, but when I say its 'a Dog to use' I mean from a
configuration aspect.
I would love things such as, the ability to cut and paste a chart to an
email message, which I haven't figured out how to do. Upon opening the
application the number of button clicks required to display a chart is in my
view excessive. Indexia's point and figure application is probably no
better either.
There is a mob in Melbourne (Australia) that has developed (and is slowly
improving) an application called 'Bullseye Broker' that is a GUI/Win32 based
application that comes close, but its configuration abilities when compared
to either Indexia or EZ-PnF is still abysmal. The improvements may come,
but its a long process waiting.
I believe that there is a market out there for a really accurate, ultimately
configurable Point and Figure charting app. that is reasonably priced. Just
hope some programmers hurry up and make one. Sometimes I wish I was a
programmer, but the propeller-head stuff is not my cup-of-tea.
Cheers,
Dave
