You did not specify whether you're using Win95 or Win98 or if you're using MS
v6.52 EOD or v6.52 RT. I am assuming you're using Win98 and MS v6.52 EOD.
It appears as though TC2000 is NOT exporting Y2K compliant data. You can
verify this by opening the MS Downloader and examining one of the tickers you
exported. Start Downloader, then File > Open, then go to the folder where your
exported tickers are and open one. Scroll through and see if the data has 4
digit years. If they don't, then you know TC2000 has a Y2K bug. To leave, do
NOT click Save. Click on the upper inner 'X' for the ticker data window to
"Close". You might be able to change how TC2000 exports their data from a 2
digit year format to a 4 digit year.
To ensure all of your programs display a 4 digit year by default, you might
want to change how Win9x displays the year. Go to Control Panel > Regional
Settings > Date tab > Short Date > Short Date Style > change M/d/yy to M/d/yyyy
. Now all of your Win9x compliant programs will display a 4 digit year. MS is
fully Win9x compliant and will also change. You will notice this when you pass
your mouse cursor over the latest price bar. The yellow box which appears will
have a 4 digit year displaying 1/3/2000 instead of 1/3/00. Changing the
Regional Settings Date only changes the way Win9x programs display the date.
It does NOT change the actual data.
