This is off the usual subjects of the mailing group but maybe of
interest, to some.
There is another way to get news and quotes to watch, and thats off a
satellite, and shown on your TV. I receive CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg and
BBC World free to air off satellies, along with numerous other TV
channels. I'm not too sure about the time delay on CNBC and
Bloomberg quotes that run across the bottom of the TV screen, as its
not a major concern to me here in New Zealand, as I'm more interested
in Moneyline etc. The service is free from the satellites, all one
has to have is a suitable satellite dish, a digital receiver, and a
bit of handyman knowledge, and thats it. The initial cost is the
last cost, no subscriptions or fees. I'm not sure what satellites
cover your area, and the ones that do, maybe encrypted, but
fortunately they are not in this region. If you are after a free
service, then it maybe worth finding out if this can be done in your
area.
