Joe,
This is the kind of discussion I like to see. Bob thanks for asking the
question. I am definitely buying this book.
Also, seems that no one has heard of the book "Trading your way to Financial
Freedom". This got great reviews on Amazon.

One was her point that Elliott Wave Theory can be a better trading tool when
appropriate technical indicators are used to guide wave counts. Another was
her suggestion about ways to use the RSI that I had not encountered
elsewhere, like the application of fibonacci ratios to predict targets
within the RSI that can be used to time when to shift one's position. Just a
variety of things, I guess, that placed the book above the typical TA book.
At the same time, I think that a lot of what she has to say might be hard
for someone new to TA to completely grasp, or maybe I should say to
recognize that what she is saying is different from many other authors.

David,
I would recommend Constance Brown's "Technical Analysis for the Trading
Professional" as well as Connors and Raschke "Street Smarts."

Folks,
Happy New Year. I've just joined the list and it seems like the best
"support" group available on the web. This is what I (and I believe
all of
you need). I am new to TA, Trading, Metastock etc. I am interested in
purchasing a few books. Would appreciate anyone's opinion on the
following
books. I'm only looking for the best, as I am sure that all of you
are.
I am also quite sure that we have a lot in common. Just purchasing
Metastock
and being interested in backtesting, etc leads me to this conclusion.
Hope
to be of help to you all.
Well, here is my first question of the millenium (ooh, I have
goosebumps).
Has anyone read any of these books? Can you recommend any? Thanks in
advance.
TA for the Trading Professional - Brown
Trading Systems and Methods - Kaufman
TA Explained - Pring
Trading the Plan - Deel
Disciplined Trader - Douglas
Psych of TA - Plummer
Momentum Direction and Divergence - Blau>
The TA Course - Meyers>
It's WHEN you sell that counrs. - Can't remember author
