trade list and should be let go at tomorrow's open according to my rendition of
the B&B fear system. This leaves only AOL and CMGI as open trades
(unless your trading the system as stop and reverse). AOL has actually
bounced back so far this week, probably due to earnings announcement
anticipation. The number for AOL's first Q was announced after the close
and was 2 cents above the First Call estimate. AOL did show some weakness
at the close, not a good sign, and I guess tomorrow we'll see if the run up of
the past two days was the result of "buy on the rumor, sell on the
news" or not. The sell trigger for AOL continues to be a close below
$100.00.</FONT></DIV>

I had to take a close look at my indicators over the last several days,
came across this one and thought I would go ahead and post it. Some
time back I wanted to test trendline breakouts. I realized that this
could be done once Equis came out with a trendline exploration. The
title de jour is "Half a line is fine Trendline".<g> It uses zig zag
or Peak/Trough to determine past pivot high/lows, but it doesn't
necessarily have to use those. The one I am posting uses zig zag and
points rather than percent. Plug in your own values. I suppose an
automated version could be coded but this did what I wanted so I was
satisfied. You will notice that the zig zag based indicator does not
plot on the last loaded bar. One indicator works in uptrends and the
other in downtrends and plots the important half of the trendline, btw.
Nothing replaces drawing trendlines by hand , but I wanted a quick way
to mark _most_ valid breakouts. I have a simple test here somewhere,
but you should be able to write one to your own requirements. This
indicator will draw an occasional non valid trendline, as you will
see. Used together sometimes they can help to quickly spot past
triangles, etc., which can also be tested for. Let me know if you find
any problems.
