I display my data in dd/mm/yy format, and Ken (wander@xxxxxxxx) and I have
noticed a problem when it's copied to an Excel spreadsheet.
DownLoader converts it automatically to mm/dd/yyyy format. That in itself
is fine, but either DownLoader or Excel has trouble with dates beginning
October 1, 1999. Attached are two .gif files -- the first is the
DownLoader file showing September 30 and October 1 data. The second is the
Excel file for the same period. The September 30 dates in the Excel file
appear to be text fields and the October 1 dates have been converted to
January 10. If you try to work with this or convert it back to MetaStock,
you will have problems.
Kind of strange, but it doesn't appear to be anything more than an annoyance
and something for non-U.S. users to be aware of.
No apparent problems when the Windows Regional Settings are set to m/dd/yy
format.
