Mike,
No, not always, but I don't mix longs with shorts. I only trade in
the direction of the intermediate term trend and the indicators I follow
haven't been in an intermediate term down trend in a long time. That's
because we have had an extremely long bull run. I also have the problem
that most of my trading funds are in a self directed IRA that doesn't allow
shorting. Therefore, when and if we ever do get that intermediate term down
trend I have to simulate shorts in the IRA by using leveraged bear funds.
