If I understand your question correctly, all you have to do id list in the
explorer all the folders that you want to search. Another way is to to the
names of the folders in a list and then put the name of the list in the
explorer search. You can have several lists for different classes of
securities.
See page 353, and read the whole chapter that starts on page 337 ranking
and screening securities of the V 6.5 manual.
