Hello Ian,Lionel,Moe,

IMHO it has something to do with the timeframe you are watching.
I can not prove this but the longer the timeframe the better it seems to use
the semi-log scale.
For example my gold and nikkei 225 charts "look" better in semi-log looking
at a daily chart of 10 years or more.
The difference on this 10yr period is also significant while drawing trendlines.
But I don't know where to place the boundary.(i.e. where to change fm
lineair to semi-log)
Anybody else ??

Regards,

Frans
