Thanks, Guy, for Roy's email address.
Can't seem to find Alan's, but he has an up and coming website that's worth
a look.

Bob

I did a search on CS and found Roy Fellars @ 70255,1252 I would assume he
could be reached at 70255.1252@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

There were 2 Alan Farley's in the UK.

Regards

Guy

Agree that John was special, Guy.
I'd left CIS before he died -- found out via Alan Farley
[hardrightedge.com].
Tried to sign up for CIS-2000 to see who is still there, but it doesn't
NT -- I've noticed Robin on the Omega list but wondered about Roy Fellars.

Bob

John Yurko and I had an ongoing relationship for years. He was always there
with thoughts, critiques, etc.

His death was a shock, especially since he (like me) had a young son at the
time. As I recall we were fairly close in age. I remember adding my
tribute to one put together by the group, so that his widow could pass our
thoughts along to his son when he was old enough to appreciate them. He is
sorely missed and I'm saddened that his son will never have the opportunity
to know him.

My hard disk died a few years ago, so I lost all of my communications with
John.

Guy

Wouldn't have grilled you, Walter, had you mentioned Kaufman 3rd Ed.
earlier.
I had bought the 2nd Ed. on the recommendation of a now dead friend ,
John Yurko, and was perturbed by the typos, etc., but loved 'smarter
trading' and ordered the 3rd Ed. a year before it finally showed. Only
disappointment was that the promised disk never materialized.
I happened to browse Chandre's 'Beyond ...' for the 1st time yesterday,
and agree that it's worthwhile -- I had overlooked it because [I recall,
perhaps falsely] it was the only book TASC ever panned.

Hi Bob

Hope that you like it.

I think that it is one of those books where traders can judge their progress
as a trader by which chapters they're attracted too, it has such a balanced
spectrum.

=======

To Nicholas

"... Any other true TA wizards out there whose publications we should be
aware
of?..."

I feel pushed if I can work through one ... maybe two a year. First
Kaufman's 3rd edition and now Jurik's book with lots of references and
re-thinks of earlier material.

If you like "The New Technical Trader" ... try his "Beyond Technical
Analysis". Since I'm a slow learner, I had to photocopy the book and put it
into a binder so that I could mark it up and draw lots of diagrams and make
notes about coding on the facing white pages. It was quite a mess when I was
finished.

Best regards

Walter
