Gee Jo,
People who participate in this list are part of a community, and in a
community sometimes people benefit from off topic information which can
help keep their systems running efficiently in order to do the on topic things.
The definition of spam has nothing to do with off topic posting.
When you need help with something that, although not exactly on topic,
still relates to the use of the tools necessary, I hope that you feel free
to post your question or comment.
And I hope someone helps. After all, that's what friends are for.
