Note that the Metastock program works with layers, eg the displayed Charts
are build-up from transparent layers place on top of the original price chart(base)
and that these layers are transparant for us humans.
If something is wrong with the layers, then this doesn't nessecarely mean there is
something wrong with the vector underlay, eg the true graphical bar or line price chart.
Anything you draw will be drawn onto this layer, and zooming in on this layer might just
not coincide with the underlay, eg either its data or vector calculations, and which
underlay 'naturaly' overrules any layer, especialy when zooming in or out.
Sometimes just copying lines will also have these lines or text to disapear from the
multi-layered Chart. Only way out then is to re-draw these lines from scrap, or in your
case when zooming-in to keep count of programs limitations in correctly making
use of the layers, as apparantly the layers cannot keep up with the "track" set
by the zoomed-in underlay, tho at least they are being returned when zooming out.
It should not be that way, tho !!

Mark,
I'm quite sure that your video driver or video graphics card is the problem.
First try to install the latest video driver available.
If problem stll exists you might consider to buy a new graphics card.
If you own an older PC a new smart graphics card with accelerator may speeed
up your system.
