Choice is up to yourself < if it is not installed already, see below > as not having any
problems now might not be the same as not getting problems in the near future and
among other things, like charting in Metatstock, other reasons can apply here (like if
you play music files and or video's and/or visit the Internet, work in Excel, PaintShop etc.).
Best is to check with your cards manufacturers (video/display/monitor/modem/sound etc)
1. See if your card is standard shipped with the DirectX software (eg check
the adapter's installation + additional software(drivers) on CdRom(disks))
2. Explicitely your card's (display) adapter installation software, eg the compatability
with DirectX version information on card's display driver and card's display driver
installation of additional software (eg usualy found in the "readme.txt" etc.)
3. Or, if the "compatability with" or the "DirectX software" itself is not found on disk, then
check with the card's manufacturer (website) to see if your current adapter's display
driver software and the display driver's additional software are DirectX-compatible.
Then, if Yes, install the DirectX components software. On my videocard system the
DirectX components installation is not optional as DirectXVideo and other DirectX
components < the DirectI/O, DirectDraw and DirectSound > are (from factory)
standard automatically installed on setup.
