Before moving over to a dBase derivative, I originally had our entire system
programmed in COBOL (back in the early 70s).  Don't see why you couldn't use
COBOL other than the fact that if you are trying to access the DL data
files, you would have to check to see if you could use MS File Library DLL.

I may just look at COBOL again.  I haven't upgraded my COBOL for several
years.

does anyone use microfocus cobol to write any code....or know if it is
possible..i realize c++ or VB6 is the accepted language but cobol is easier
to uinderstand and document and the new versions appear to be just as
powerfull as c++
