You are so right about their lock in with downloader. Here in uk some of us
use a different loader, Metaload v2.0 by Sentinel Software, which does our
FTSE set of 2500 tickers in 8 sec on a 33bit modem;
but with a terrible old MS file structure, folders max 255; the latest
version v3.0 is terribly slow because reuters will not allow sentinel the
access coding for their file structure, although prettier.  We stick with
what works which is the old dos version. Why do you need to stick with
Equis?
