Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow" sentiment survey.
The survey was taken from 12/21 through 1/3 on the Lowrisk.com web
site.
Number of participants: 342
30 day outlook:
41% bullish, 43% last week
36% bearish, 23% last week
24% neutral, 34% last week
(percentages may not sum to 100 due to rounding)
Median guess for the DJIA closing value on Friday, 2/5: 9335 (it
was 9200 last week). More complete sentiment data is available at

Bearish sentiment jumped 13% to 36% this week. Most of those gains
came at the expense of the neutral camp, which dropped 10% to 24%.
Bullish sentiment dropped slightly, from 43% to 41%. With the DJIA
dropping almost 220 points last week, this pullback in bullishness is
not unexpected. Nevertheless, a bearish reading of 36% should
provide at least some cheer for the bulls.
