<DIV><FONT size=2><BR>I tried to open some of my Layouts last night. The Daily
chart portion of the Layout opened,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>but the Weekly did not. I got the error message, "Date
requested after last date in the data".</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>When I opened a new smart chart and applied the Template for
the Layout I got the same results.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Has anyone else run into this? When I look at the data in DL
it looks fine.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Bill, see an answer to this kind of problem below. It was kindly taken
from</DIV>
<DIV>Mike Arnoldi's previous mails to and with EqSupp reply attached and had as
subjects:</DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV>"Re: Metastock EOD V6.52" and "[Fwd: Metastock EOD
V6.52]"</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I also refer you to my previous mails which had as subject</DIV>
<DIV>"Re: Quotes-Plus v2.x Virtual Not Compatible with MS v6.52 & Windo
ws 98"</DIV>
<DIV>of which I have printed a -shortened version- way down
below.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>So this is not due to Metastock doing "True" weekly countings(as
I asumed it to start doing),</DIV>
<DIV>but it is due to your current Layouts containing pre-fixed displaying dates
instructions for</DIV>
<DIV>any of the Layout's Charts, eg Charts dates display configurations that
were last saved</DIV>
<DIV>when Layouts were (previously) used and "saved". Note that
on the attached GIF, the Chart's</DIV>
<DIV>'displaying'-dates(Jan99-Mar99) were past the last date in the Ahold's DL
data-file. </DIV>

<DIV>Equis Support's reply : </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>MetaStock 6.52 is an updated version so it contains some changes
that<BR>are not the same as prior version. When you scroll from chart to
chart<BR>in MetaStock 6.52 it uses the dates of the chart on the screen
to<BR>attempt to load the same dates into the next chart that
displays.<BR><BR>If the chart on the screen has retain scale set this will force
the<BR>scrolling feature to use the same dates for the next chart.
<BR><BR>If you do not want to use the same dates in the next chart you
would<BR>either have to disable Retain Scale or just close that chart and
use<BR>File|Open to open the next chart. If the next chart does not
have<BR>Retain Scale set you could then continue scrolling from this
chart. <BR><BR>Equis Support<BR><A

PROBLEM:(using smart charts and retain scale checked)<BR>> when using the
zoom box to zoom on any price chart, it works as it<BR>> should, but ALL
OTHER CHARTS are now also zoomed to the same level.<BR>> (prior to the patch

<DIV>shortened version of my mail to EqSupp:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>HOWEVER tonight, on opening one of my -above- mentioned
'valuable but<BR>unavailable' Layouts, another dialog ERROR message was being
returned:<BR><BR>
"Date requested is after the last date in the
data"<BR>
- Retry or Cancel -<BR><BR>I had to press the Cancel button, to get at least the
rest of the Layout to display<BR>and this error this time, is obviously due to
fact that, as one of the Charts in this<BR>Layout is based on WEEKLY data, the
MS program is now calculating weeks to<BR>be TRUE weeks, eg starting on Mondays
and ending on Fridays and as today is<BR>Tuesday(19990105) and NOT the week's
last date, eg coming Friday(19990108),<BR>then
indeed<BR> "the
date(friday) requested, is after the last date(tuesday) in the
data".<BR>Changing any other of the visable Charts of this Layout to weekly
data returns the<BR>same error and changing them to monthly data returns the
same error also.<BR><BR>Now how about that? Finaly I am having, with your
precious help, an also precious<BR>Layout to be viewable again, then this
"mutulating the Layout"-error spoils the<BR>Layout's
intends...........<BR><BR>As an example see the attached
"auto004.GIF".<BR><BR>Regards,<BR>Ton Maas<BR><A
