That is true. One reads into a statement, only what one knows from
prior experience. UNLESS the author is "teaching" and you look to
learn. Thus MetaStock and MetaStock Professional can confuse the quick
reader.

This is an EXCELLENT example of your statements.
There is NO difference between the "core" Quicken and the "core"
Quicken Deluxe.
An upgrade patch to Quicken will also work on Quicken Deluxe.
However, the ancillary programs will not get upgraded (e.g. Home
Inventory, Financial Planner, etc). So effectively Quicken and Quicken
Deluxe are identical, except for additional INDEPENDENT modules that
call each other. MetaStock and MetaStock Pro and distinctly different
at the core (Equis, let me know if this is a correct statement).
The Quicken Deluxe contains "add-ons" similar to MetaStock and the
Downloader. Two distinct programs callable from within each other.
Metastock Progressional is a different program at the core.
Soooo... you illustrated your point very well <g>, and welcome to the
enlightened group.
