I don't know about other list members, but I am sure there are many.
I have used the patch on more than 10 machines personally without
problems.
So, here is what I would do.
1) Uninstall MetaStock Professional and reinstall it.
2) Try the patch again.
The patch does not need to be in any specific folder. I wanted to try
it from the Equis folder just to see if the path was the problem.

up652Sig.exe as i stated before this is the file that i used

open. If they were running when you ran the patch, they were not
properly patched.
the server was not running when i run the patch nor was any server or
software of any kind, including any that may have been in the start up
folder. nothing was running at all

Equis folder, not the MetaStock Professional folder.
the first time i run the patch from the temp directory and it failed,
the
second time i run the patch from the equis directory and it failed, the
third time i ran the directory from metastock folder and it failed, the
forth time i ran the patch from the c:\root directory and it also
failed.
did i mention that i also failed to see a specific place specified to
run
the patch from on your web site? i just dont think the patch works?

there some here on this list that can tell me otherwise?
