behaviour, I now get the same treatment - Illegal Operation message etc. with a
NEW layout created in 6.52.</FONT></DIV>

uninstall (dump) 6.52 and reload 6.5 from the CDR until these problems are
resolved.</FONT></DIV>

to note which OP are they using. I am using W98 and I am v e r y suspicious of

only problem I had with MSW6.52, was</FONT></P>

particular layout. Half way through, after</FONT></P>

a couple of alerts! the</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000 face="Courier New" size=3>screen reports that MSWIN has
performed an illegal operation with advice</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000 face="Courier New" size=3>to contact the program vendor
if the problem persists. I then get dumped </FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000 face="Courier New" size=3>back to W98. Any attempt to
reload Metastock results in a lockup with the </FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000 face="Courier New" size=3>new (rather
attractive)introductory logo showing. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000 face="Courier New" size=3>With great difficulty, I then
have to reboot before I can load Metastock.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000 face="Courier New" size=3>The problem seems to be only
with this one layout, that is 850kb in size.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000 face="Courier New" size=3>Other layouts load fine. My
question to the group is, how can I edit or view the layout file to</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000 face="Courier New" size=3>help discover what is upsetting
the new program. I intend to make a new </FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#000000 face="Courier New" size=3>layout using the same
securities but I need to list them first. How?</FONT></P>

There appears to be a new patch at the Equis Website. It is dated 1/4/99.
Does anyone know whether this is a new improved patch or what it is??
