CSI is a direct competitor of Reuters DataLink. The committee that
decides who gets the write version of MSFL (the MetaStock file library)
determined that as a direct competitor they were not going to give them
the library.
Dear Support People,
I think this dicision will be the Kiss of Death for Metastock. Take a look
at the competitors of Metastock, like Technifilter. They are able to read
more and more Dataformats direct and without limits. In this way they offer
the customer the freedom of "really" free choice. Other datavendors opens
their format. The opposite of the way Reuters handels his Data-business and
I think this will not the future to handel this business. I` m shure this
was not the dicision oft the Equis people, but the decision of the Reuter
people who want sell their data-abos. But which programm will the customer
in the future buy: A Programm with a limited Dataimport or programms with
the real freedom of choice, datareading without any limits. Which
Datavendors will the customer chose in the future: The Datavender who is
directly readg by many programms or a Datavender with limits? Quality ist
the way to convince. Isolation ist the kiss of death. Reuters take care!
