Bob,
it's the latest version of Quotes-Plus 2. If you want to use
the McClellan Oscillator, Summation, and Arms indicators, you should
use MetaStock Composites (if you want to use the Arms indicator, you MUST
use composites). These indicators are probably the most important
indicators you can use to gauge the overall market condition. I hope
this bug is fixed soon. I'm getting tired of recreating my composites.

BTW, when I posted my last email about MetaStock composites and missing
dates, I never checked to see if DOUBLE composites with missing dates calculated
correctly. The Arms indicator uses a double composite. If you
use advance/decline data with missing dates, use a spreadsheet and verify
the calculations are made correctly. If I remember correctly, I think
this is why I came to the conclusion MetaStock didn't properly calculate
composites with missing data. I will have to verify this.

What bug, what version?
Don't follow this list much so may miss a reply to the list.

It discusses a bug in the Quotes-Plus software. I thought the group
should be aware of it:

Janene,
Thank you for your response. I have been using real MetaStock
files exported using the QP2 Output to MetaStock utility. If there
are any corrections sent out by QP to correct errors in the data, these
corrections do not show up in the MetaStock exported data. At least,
not in my installation. When the advance and decline corrections
were sent out, they were not made on my MetaStock exported data.
I verified this using the QP Display Charts program.

The only way I can update the exported MetaStock data with the corrections
is to delete all the MetaStock files and re-export. Unfortunately,
I also must recreate my composites. I found there is nothing I can
do to preserve my composites. I must recreate them and I have done
this now 3 times.

I was told by another QP2 user on my MetaStock ListServ that a patch
will be created to fix this problem. Are you saying this in not correct?

Thank you,
Daniel.

Dan,

You cannot create
composites with the Virtual Profiler. There will not be
a patch as far as I
know. The folders with the virtual files need to have
just virtual files,
nothing else. When you create other files and leave them
there it creates
problems with the virtual files. Use the output to Metastock
program for
the stocks you want to create composites for.
