<DIV> Well the string of up weeks had to end somewhere
<G>. My portfolio was down for the week and I closed my DELL, EGGS,
LU, NR, and SCH positions (summary below) as targets and stops were hit. I
had a hard look at the indices to see if the market was trying to tell me
something, but I still read all signs as go. However, in case I'm wrong
I'm only going to ease back in. I will only replace one large cap position
and one small cap position this week. Then in the following weeks I'm
going to increase my small cap exposure. My large cap selection is our old
favorite CitiGroup (CCI) that we made a good profit in a few weeks ago.
The small cap is Cohu Inc (COHU). We all know about CCI. COHU is the
US's largest manufacture of semiconductor test-handling equipment. They
also make closed circuit TV equipment for surveillance, medical applications,
& industrial process controls; microwave radios, antenna systems, and
support equipment used to transmit telemetry, video, and audio signals; and
metal and leak detectors.</DIV>
<DIV> CCI at 43.375 is in a Short Term Up Trend Channel
(STUTC) with the top at 59 3/4 and the bottom at 41 7/8. It formed an all
time high double top just under 80 in April and again in July of this
year. Then it fell to a low of 28 1/2 on 10/8/98 which was just above the
bottom of a Long Term Up Trend Channel. From there it moved up to break
out of its Short Term Down Trend Channel and form its current STUTC. I got
a tema binary wave buy signal on 10/28/98. The fundamentals are still as
good as they were a few weeks ago and the price is much better. I'll open
a long position Monday. I'll set my initial target at 69 just under the
old all time high and my stop just under the STUTC at 41 3/4.</DIV>
<DIV> COHU at 17.875 is also in a STUTC with the top at
23 and the bottom at 17 1/2. It hit it's all time high of 57 3/43 on
10/3/97 then fell to under 30 by the end of 1997. From there, it rose to a
high of 48.625 on 2/26/98 then went into a free fall to a low of 12 on
10/16/98. It recovered from there to break out of its Intermediate Term
Down Trend Channel (ITDTC) last month and form its current STUTC. The
fundamentals are good and improving with a price/sales of 0.81, ROE of 16.5%, no
debt, and sales growing at 10% during the last year. Earnings are down
from last year, but are still positive with the P/E is only 7.3. I'll open
a long position Monday with the initial target just under this years high at 48
and the stop just under the STUTC at 16 3/4.</DIV>
