The DownLoader convert routine was not designed to convert the same data
into multiple folders, but to covert and append the data into the first
instance it finds the symbol. So, in your case, the symbol is not found
and therefore a folder is made for it and the data converted.
If you have multiple folders that contain the same symbols that you are
converting, do a conversion into the first folder and then convert again
into the second folder. In each case, specify the destination folder
and do not check "Traverse destination Folders." All the issues in the
ASCII file that are found in the first folder will convert and append.
The second conversion will do the same thing in the second folder. If
you are converting issues that do not exist, a new security will be
created in the destination folder and all the data converted. If you
have "Traverse Destination Folders" checked, a new folder will be
created as a child to the folder you have listed as the destination
folder. In your situation, I would not recommend this. If new folders
are made because you have "Traverse Destination Folders" selected, copy
the issues into the folders where you want them and convert daily by
specifying the destination folders and turning off "Traverse Destination
Folders".

Subject: Downloader updating multiple directories
Thanks to Ton Maas and Zvi for suggestions. Equis says to check
"Create New Files", but this doesn't work, since it creates new
folders with one day's data, instead of appending the data.
So far no combination of choices in the Destination Option tab has
been able to do it. The only result is an attempt to update a
nonexistent destination folder called c:\equis\A\sourcefile.txt
After 4 emails to Equis tech support, it is clear to me that Equis
doesn't have a clue on how to update multiple data directories.
Has anyone actually been able to do it?
Any suggestions for a replacement for the Downloader, a program
which can update multiple directories?
