i use the site every day for individual stocks, but have to manually
manipulate the data as follows:
i download the data then i open it with excel.
i highlight col-a and select "data" / "text to column" using "comma
delimited" and the text is split up into the columns.
to bring the info into metastock sequence i do the following:
i hilight the col-b & move it to say col-h.
i now hilight col-c,d,e and move it to the left to be next to the date,
now leaving a space to the right of it and the volume is in the next
column to the right.
i now hilight the col-h and move it into the free space to the left of
the volume.
the volume has commas (,) so i highlight the volume column & use format
cell by using the number format without "comma" & no decimals.
i highlight the whole data area & sort in ascending order so that the
last date is at the bottom of the file.
i copy to clipboard.
paste into a newly created downloader file which i name by the stock &
symbol.
and that's that.
sounds tidious, but for a quick free data it's worth it.
note:i also check with the downloder that the data has no errors.
