Many moons ago we used to call this double inside day, and did not care much
about the 28% symmetry ( or any symmetry for that matter). Personally, I do
not think market cares too much about precise numbers as long as the pattern
is complete. That's why I just draw two lines (H and L of the Bar #1) when
double inside day occurs. The next morning, depending on the direction of
stock, I'm either in or not (simple is beautiful!).
You are indeed correct about Walter Downs' work, and thank you for the
math. and the excellent GIF.
