I understand your position Sean, I used to be the same way -- I used RTD from Equis.
However, splits happen once in a blue moon -- Equis RTD gave off "ID=800" errors 4 times per week.  So you tell me which is the bigger waste of time.

I do but I pay for my data and my data provider provides all this
information for me. I have more important things to do than have to correct
for splits, symbols changes, and scour for free info when quotes plus does
the job for $20 a month.
