Richard,
In Explorer try this:
1. Double click on the message (to open it)
2. Right click on the "From:" part. A dialogue box appears so click on
either the "Add to address book" or the "Properties" option. Either way you
can add the writer's address to your address book.
3. Close the message (X) in top right hand corner of the message window.
4. Click the "Compose Message" option on the task bar.
5. Click the "To:" option to open your address book and find the new address
you added in step 2.
Once you have the address in your address book you can reply direct to a
writer by:
1. Click "Reply to Author"
2. Click the "To:" option to open your address book
3. Add the writer's address to the "To:" line and delete the
metastock@xxxxxxxxxxxxx address.
I don't know whether this falls outside your "without going through a bunch
of extra steps" requirement but it works.
