The book by Donald L. Cassidy, "It's Not What Stocks You Buy, It's when You
Sell That Counts", may help. (Available from Traders Press, Greenville,SC ph
800-927-8222). (No personal connection. That's where I purchase most of my
books on the market.)
He covers the psychological aspects including roadblocks, rationalizations,
denial and other subjects such as "Selling versus Holding in a Crash", stop
loss orders, etc. He also provides a Hold/Sell Decision Checklist.
IMHO, the book is reasonably good. The difficulty for most of us is rigorous
implementation.
