Re: QuotesPlus Virtual -- Questions

Thanks, Alton, I think I understand it a little better now.. Am I correct
then, that *without* using virtual, you must have two sets of data in your
machine -- one for QP and another for Metastock. While *with* using virtual,
the virtual directory "tricks" Metastock into reading the one and only QP
files?

If that understanding is accurate, it may answer my other question about why
the QP virtual has to be active at all times and reside in the tray. That is,
unbenownst to Metastock, the QP Virtual program must intercede when Metastock
accesses the virtual folder, and surreptitiously supply the data to Metastock
from the QP database. Does that make sense? If it does, it's pretty darn
clever, and my hat is off to QP? I wonder if it will "trick" Omnitrader too?

Thanks for your help.

Leo
