Arrange your data in subfolders beneath the main folder. For example,
specify "c:\equis\data" and put all the security files in
c:\equis\data\stocks, c:\equis\data\futures, etc.
In the Convert Securities window, for the Destination File type select
MetaStock, followed by the name of main folder (e.g., c:\equis\data).
Then click on the Options button and check the "Traverse destination
folders" checkbox.
If a file to which the converted data can be appended does not exist in
any existing folders, a new folder will automatically be created
beneath the specified Destination folder. The newly created folders are
named "A", "B", "C", "D", etc. corresponding to the first letters of
the converted securities' names. Just delete those folders after
conversion.
BTW, we are supplying custom made DownLoader's add-on for converting
virtually any ASCII file into MetaStock. The utility is transparent for
user - you only see additional "Preconvert" buttom on the Convert
dialogue (see the attached GIF file).
