Well, since I asked everyone to yell in the first place I guess I should
throw in my two cents worth.
First, thanks to Alton for posting his conversation with Mr. McNichol.
I appreciate the time you took on it.
Metastock is my charting software of choice and if I didn't care about
it and its future direction I wouldn't even be on this list. I think the
Metastock product is far and away, for the money, the best charting
software on the market. I wouldn't give it up for anything, even
Tradestation at this point.
As far as yelling at Equis, I wish I didn't have to yell to get a
response. Mr. McNichol has opened a dialog with our user group which I
hope continues. After all, all we mostly wanted was to know we were
being listened to. Even just something like a quarterly update on what's
going on would be nice.
And don't yell at George. George has been most helpful every time I've
contacted him.
When I worked in software development we would have quarterly meetings
with our user community that included the programming staff, software
management, and the user community. We would hash out our problems,
update everyone on where we were in our development process on each
project, give expected completion dates which we rarely met, and asked
for a prioritazion of our projects. This prioritazion let us know what
was most important for our user community and would drive our software
development process.
