OK Richard, you've got me (LOL). I keep trying to make RTD work and
when it goes through its good times I pat myself on the back for
sticking with them, but its time to "cut this loss short" and give
REUTERS the 'ol heave ho!
To answer your questions, the advantages are its easy to use the
Downloader, yes they auto-correct and auto-split, and its 24.95 for
unlimited service including historical data.
Where do I sign up for your Quotes Plus? And what do you use to convert
your data to MS and how long does THAT take? At what time is the file
ready? And what about historical data? Is everything basically
"unlimited"? What does it cost? Did I ask every important question on
the subject?
;-)
(I seem to recall a similar thread recently on this topic, but I think I
was in one of my "stick with RTD" moods. If you'd post to the list I'd
bet you'll get more defectors who are lurking. TIA)

Do y'all mean that RTD doesn't provide a full download of stocks in one
swoop. You are having to restrict how many you download, unbelievable! I
download all us stocks (except BBs) and mutual funds in less than 2
minutes. Why are y'all talking about timeouts? What torture chamber
does your data come through? Do they auto correct, auto split, data.
What are advantages to RTD?
