Yes--I tied our machines together into a peer-to-peer network, and am
using Wingate as the proxy-server for Internet access for all machines.
I'm really not certain this is a DNS problem anymore, since I have
verified that DNS resolution works correctly on the client machines.
Plugging the IP address in directly yields the same results. The
Downloader sits there with the QuoteCenter dialogue box "Retrieving the
Host Name" and then fails. The next step is "Logging onto the
Internet", which it never gets to. Everything seems to be in place
correctly, and all other programs work great accessing the Internet
(from mail clients to browsers to telnet to ftp, etc....). It's just
Metastock holding out on me... ;-)
