Harley....
You made the following statement, which is a re-wording of a previous
statement....."Now
if I said "in a capitalist environment the name of the game for the
capitalist is to obtain as much wealth as possible. And many will have
less wealth as a result of the game." Does that make more sense. But I
have said the same thing. Just different words."
I, too, have a problem with your comment, even as re-worded. I understand
your general overall comments and have, and would again, place my life on the
line to defend your right to say them. But my interpretation of what you said
above is that in a capitalistic nation, there exists a fixed amount amount of
wealth, and that because of the game, those who gain wealth take it from
somebody else, and they therefore, wind up with less. The strong take from or
create the weak.
You mention nothing about creating wealth, which in my opinion, is the most
important point. Capitalism is about building and creating new wealth, which
in turn will benefit most but not all people. It is not a perfect world that
we live in and it never will be. But like a stock market, there are many
opinions.
