I find this whole discussion rather amusing and generally agree with Dan's
comments. I have seen countless messages regarding the subject and since I
have been involved with the list, and so far, I have not seen anyone abuse
the option of sending charts, other the Mr.. Math (and that was a case of
content). I think a combination of using small file formats (gifs) and
using discretion works fine. In addition, the idea of a FTP site for anyone
that wants to update daily charts or a ton of charts will also work. MS and
charting are a visual tool. Imagine buying a book on TA with no pictures !
Common sense is a powerful attribute, let's use it.
MS IE 4.0 has an inbox assistant which has options to leave large files on
the server or delete them. MS IE 4.0 is free. I think the tools are out
there, it is just a matter of getting them and configuring them.
Regards,
Charles
