Marianne,
You're not clear where you want to type 1.6796: system tester, Explorer, or
Expert Advisor? In the advisor commentary to write a formula output you use
writeval. As an example, if you want 10 characters wide and 4 decimal
places:
writeval(macd(), 10.4)
You're not clear what you mean by background colors. This is for background
of charts: When you installed v6.5, it might have deleted or changed your
templates. Right-click on the inner window your favorite chart style and
choose Inner Window>Properties. Change the background color to the one of
your desire, check "Apply to All Inner Windows" and click on Apply, then OK.
Right-click again on the chart and choose "Save as Default Template".
Whenever you load a chart which doesn't have the correct colors, right-click
on the chart and choose Apply Template. In the files list, choose
Default.MWT then click on Open.

here it is showing 1.000.
Indices which are large numbers, you can adjust it up/down,
but with currencies you will need all the numbers :-)
At the same time, the background was displaying green/blue,
it has now changed to grey. When you turn off the computer
and start again, it is OK, but after win.95 has started it suddenly
changes to grey. Why ?
:-) Best Regards,
