I think your advice to thoroughly search the web for comments about any
software program is good advice. However, I submit that one should be
careful about reading too much into negative or positive comments about any
program; a high degree of skepticism is worthwhile in buying software and in
trading. I would bet that one would find many more negative comments about
MetaStock or SuperCharts on the web than on Advanced GET. Just look at all
the negative comments about MetaStock on this Equis list server. I've also
discovered that many of the negative comments made about Advanced GET are
made by non-users of the program, or by users who haven't put in the time to
learn to use the program effectively. The users of Advanced GET are about as
loyal as they come. The percentage of users who upgrade with each upgrade
release is among the highest in the industry from what I hear. You get what
you pay for; you can't spend $12,000 and expect to own a new Lexus. Same
idea applies to software, in my opinion. I'm not an employee of Trading
Techniques (developers of Advanced GET), but a very loyal user. I'm also a
loyal user of MetaStock, which offers a great value for the price. If one
could afford it, I recommend that one own both programs, if not also a couple
of others. No one program does it all. On the other hand, being a software
junkie isn't productive either as you spend all your time learning to use
programs and never trade. I've been there! :D
