Dear MS-community,
today I got a written offer to upgrade to MS 6.5. But it seems that features I really would
like to see are not implemented. So I sent a mail to EQUIS with a list of wishes and
problems.
Some of them I took from a mail of Chip Anderson (Chip, I hope you donīt mind the
plagiarism!). If you agree to some of the points, please tell this to EQUIS, maybe it helps,
if more people ask for the same improvements!
Below is the main part of my mail to EQUIS:

I donīt need new indicators or expert. What I really need are some features to make the
program hanling easier and help me save time!
Below I give you a list of features I would like very much to see in a future version and
some problems encountered with MS 6.0. Please note: Most of the wishes and problems are not
only mine but were also mentioned by other users in the equis mailing list.
The sequence is also my kind of *urgency-ranking*.
1. Apply complete layouts for a single security.
I am using layouts containing 5-6 charts with different indicators using different time
intervals.
For example: Chart with 5, 12 and 30 days ROC in different windows.
I spend a lot of time creating the layouts manually for every interesting security!
2. Save the width of your charts.
I am constantly rescaling my charts each time I load them. This is
inexcusable! When I save a chart and then reload it, I expect to see the
same thing!
3. In the *open* dialogue the security lists should be sorted alphabetically.
I donīt like to waste my time opening an unwanted security and then typing the name of the
really wanted.
4. Notes on charts don't scale when you zoom in or out.
Combine this fact with #2above and you can forget about having nicely
maintained annotated charts.
5. Having Trend Lines and Chart Notes disappear when you switch from Daily
to Weekly mode or you change displayed dates.
6. No vertical scrollbars or chart windows
7. Saving charts does not save custom vertical axis settings.
8. Sometimes I find circles in my charts I never drew there.
They disappear if I change the scale and reappear if I go back to the first scale.
9. Sometimes I canīt *grab* objects with the mouse pointer unless I change the scale by one
or
two steps.
10. I use to print collections of open charts. Every few weeks this causes program crashes.
After reinstalling MS it works again for a few weeks until the next crash occurs and I start
over again....
In case that some of the above mentioned wishes/problems are implemented/solved in MS 6.5,
please let me know!
