I have a 5 tier listing of stocks that I scan based on earnings
performnace
and price performance. About once every 2-3 weeks I rank these stocks
based on information I get in IBD. I also make sure that there is
interest in
the stock and that the group it is a part of is also doing well. I got
burned
on this when I bought SCOP a few months ago only to find that one their
competitors warned of future revenue decline. This impacted the whole
industry and the stock has been in a trading range ever since.
As far as determining the starting date for the channel, I am not sure
what you mean. It is by inspection of the chart that I determined
the channel. Am I missing something?
