I don't know how much your time is worth to you however using some of
those fly by night data vendors can be troublesome. There are a lot of
bad vendors out there and there a few good data vendors. I have used
Dial/Data, Telescan, Dow Jones, and Reuters Trend Datalink. Dial/Data
offers probably the most out of any data vendor in the business. However
they are one of the most expensive and have bad data. Telescan is
reasonably priced there data is okay however there support is lacking.
With Dow Jones my biggest complaint was you couldn't download your data
until later in the evening. I have been using Reuters Trend Datalink
since June of 1996. Reuters does and always has had the cleanest data,
and they are reasonably priced.
Therefore I feel the top two data vendors in the Downloader are Reuters
Trend DataLink and Telescan.
