( $ 612.50, to be exact ).
In my personal opinion, CME is the correct source. When I trade, I watch the market from the opening bell and I know where the market opens ( at
5539, not 5588 for 7-22 ). However, is it possible that, for some reason, CME
screwed up and The Wall Street Journal has the correct info.?, I don't think
so, since CME is where the trading is taking place. Where the WSJ gets its data, I don't know, but something's wrong here.
I already addressed this matter to the CME, keep you informed on what the deal is.
It's not my intention to discredit Reuters, I just want to be using the most reliable data, whether it is from the WSJ or CME or whatever source. IF the outcome is the WSJ is wrong, then Reuters needs to make the adjustments accordingly; IF they don't, then I'll find another RELIABLE data source.
Think about it, guys, the numbers you're crunching with whatever indicator you're using are going to give you signals based on the data you have, and if your data is messed up, what are your chances to make the right
decision ?? ( let alone how accurate your system / method is ! ).
.... Have you checked your data, lately ?

Efrain R Portales
efrain12@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Reuters supplies futures data for about $25 a month. I'm
using it this month and I like the service. I've heard bad
comments about Dial Data. Have had not personal experience
with them though.

With Reuters you pay the $25 fee for the month whether you
start on the 1st or the 25th.
They have Continuation charts for every contract which is
nice.

You can reach them at 800-346-2024. Ask for the Futures
package. For $10 more/month you can add unlimited quotes on
the indices. Be sure to wait for the first of the month to
start. If you sign on now you will get hit for $25 for
July.
