any technical opinions on lptha? Lightpath technologies is a producer
of "gradient lens," which are lenses where the glass is a solid but the
optical properties of the glass change through the glass. this makes
lens that are smaller, better, etc.
this week there is an article about them in business week. the stock
hit an all-time high today, after a small rise last friday and a larger
one yesterday. volume is also at an all time high. no analysts
(according to zacks and research mag) follow the stock yet. revenue has
doubled every quarter for the last 4 quarters, with this quarter's
revenue at 500k. (you do the math -- this isn't saying much!)
the company's been in business for 10-15 years, but went public a year
ago to fund a sales push. their cash situation isn't so good currently.
