Welcome!
I use the S&P 500 Index, the five hundred largest capitalization stocks
in the U. S. . It can be, and is, broken into Sectors and Groups within.
There is also the S&P 100, the one hundred largest capitalization U. S.
stocks, as well as other Indices.
A good place to find out more of these and other Standard & Poor's
Indices is:
http://www.stockinfo.standardpoor.com/idxinfo.htm and related links.
I hope that others will step up with answers to your trading and broker
questions.
This evening, I'll be watching two EastEnders episodes, about a year and
a half delayed from their broadcast over there! For your point of
reference, Michelle has just come over to America for her year's work.
