printing to file

I tried to print a system report to a *.prn file, using the generic printer
definition. But when I opened the prn file the numbers columns were chopped off
on the thousand (and higher) digit. In stead of 12500.00 on the sustem test only
500.00 showed up in the prn file. How can I correct this? Do I have to set to
column width somewhere?
